Set your track details: title, artist, genre & description
Fill in the title, artist, genre and an optional description so listeners (and SoundCloud) know what your track is.
Good details help people find and understand your track. Rollout reads what it can from your audio file's tags, and you edit anything inline.
Steps
- Click your song in the queue — its details open on the right.
- Set the Title, Artist name, and Genre. Rollout pre-fills these from your file's tags when it can.
- Add a Description if you'd like — notes, credits, or links (optional).
- Click Save.
The fields, explained
- Genre — start typing and pick from SoundCloud's own genre list (or type your own). Matching SoundCloud's genres helps your track show up in the right places.
- Description — stuck for words? Hit ✨ Write with AI to turn a few notes into a short description, then edit it.
- Sharing — Public lists the track on your profile and in search; Private publishes it as a secret link you can share with a few people.
Not sure what a field means? Hover the small i next to it for a plain-English explanation. Set the details before you publish — that's when they're sent to SoundCloud.
