How to schedule a SoundCloud release

Set when Rollout should publish — using the calendar picker — and let it upload automatically. Never early. Uses prepaid credits.

Rollout can hold a finished track and publish it for you at a future time. SoundCloud has no native “publish later” API, so Rollout uploads when due — the track never appears on SoundCloud early.

Two different “dates” (easy to mix up)

• When Rollout publishes (Basic info tab) — optional calendar for day and time in your local time zone. This is when Rollout uploads to SoundCloud. Leave empty to publish when you click Publish now.
• Release date (Metadata tab) — optional display date shown on SoundCloud’s Metadata (album/release date). It does not control when Rollout posts.

Steps (auto-publish later)

1. Open the console and + Add track.
2. Click the track. On Basic info, open When Rollout publishes and pick a day/time from the calendar (shortcuts: Today, Tomorrow, Next Friday). No typing required.
3. Fill Basic info / Metadata / Permissions as needed, then Save. Status becomes scheduled.
4. A background worker publishes within a few minutes of that time — even if the console is closed. It is never released early.

Good to know

• Scheduling is available on Starter — it uses the same prepaid publish credits as Publish now.
• Publish is idempotent — a track is never double-posted.
• Every release gets artwork — your own cover, or an auto-generated placeholder.
