Built for artists, not spreadsheets

Everything you need to ship a release

Rollout handles the tedious upload mechanics so your energy stays on the music.

One-click publishing

Drop your finished tracks and Rollout uploads them straight to SoundCloud — title, genre, description and all — no manual dashboard clicking.

Scheduled releases

Set When Rollout publishes and the worker uploads on that day — never early. Same prepaid credits whether you publish now or later.

Art never blocks a release

Rollout uses the cover already embedded in your file, or an image beside it. If a track has none, it drops in a simple placeholder so a release is never blocked for missing art.

Smart metadata

Reads the tags baked into your export and fills the gaps from the filename — accurate metadata with zero retyping.

Safe & idempotent

A content-hashed ledger means Rollout never double-posts. Run it as often as you like; only what is due goes out.

Your account, your control

Connect with your own SoundCloud app credentials (Artist Pro). Your access and secret are stored encrypted at rest, never shared, and you stay in control of your own account.

How it works

From finished file to live in four steps

  1. 01

    Connect SoundCloud

Sign in, then link your own SoundCloud app (Artist Pro required).

  2. 02

    Add your tracks

Drop finished exports — Rollout reads metadata and artwork.

  3. 03

    Publish or schedule

Publish now or set a future date — never early. Uses prepaid credits.

  4. 04

    Rollout ships it

Automatic, idempotent uploads. You just make music.

Scheduling

Set the date.
Close the laptop.

A background worker publishes scheduled tracks within minutes of their release time — even while you sleep. Every upload takes an atomic claim first, so nothing ever ships twice.

  • Future-dated tracks are held server-side and never appear early
  • Edit metadata inline and drop new cover art from one console
  • Artwork is retried but never blocks a release

Social auto-post

Announce every release, everywhere, automatically

Connect your networks once. When a track goes live, Rollout posts your announcement with cover art — from your accounts, never a shared company account.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a SoundCloud account?

Yes. Rollout publishes to your own SoundCloud artist account. You connect it once with your own SoundCloud app credentials, and Rollout uploads on your behalf — you stay in full control of your own account. Your music still lives on SoundCloud; Rollout is the release console, not a store or a second host.

Do I need SoundCloud Pro?

Yes — a SoundCloud Artist Pro subscription is required, because SoundCloud only lets Pro subscribers register an API application. Rollout publishes using your own app. Setup is self-serve: create an app at soundcloud.com/you/apps/new, set the redirect URL Rollout shows you, and paste your Client ID and Secret into the console. Your secret is stored encrypted.

Is Rollout free?

Yes to start — no credit card. New accounts get 100 welcome credits that spend on SoundCloud publishes, social posts, and AI drafts. When you run low, buy a prepaid credit pack (from $8.99). There is no monthly release cap; usage is prepaid. You will always be told before anything is charged. See Pricing.

How do I sign in?

With Microsoft, Google, or an email one-time code — there is no password to remember. Microsoft or Google is recommended when you can use them (they work with authenticator apps). Email codes are fine if you need them. Use the same sign-in method each time so you land on the same account.

Does Rollout post my music to Spotify or Apple Music?

No. Rollout automates the SoundCloud upload itself. Spotify and Apple Music are only reachable through a licensed distributor, which has no public "submit a release" API. Rollout focuses on making SoundCloud releasing effortless.

Can I schedule a release for a future date?

Yes. Set When Rollout publishes on the track, and a background worker uploads on that day — never early, even if the console is closed. Scheduling uses the same prepaid credits as publishing now. Do not confuse that schedule with SoundCloud’s display “release date” field in Metadata — that is only what fans see on the track page.

Can Rollout post to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X when I release?

Yes. On the Social page you connect networks via Social Relay (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon), then schedule announcements with cover art. Connecting and each post spend prepaid Rollout credits. X is not on the Relay rail today. Rollout never posts from a shared company account. Public how-to guides walk through each network in plain English.

What if a track has no cover art?

Every release still gets artwork. Rollout uses a cover you upload (or one already in the file when available) and otherwise generates a clean placeholder so a track is never blocked for missing art. For best results on SoundCloud, use a square image (ideally around 3000×3000).

What audio files can I upload?

WAV, FLAC, MP3, AIFF, OGG, AAC, and M4A, up to 200 MB per file. Uploading to Rollout does not put the track on SoundCloud yet — you still Save details and Publish (or schedule). If a file is rejected for size or type, see the audio upload guide under Guides.

Will it ever double-post the same track?

No. Rollout keeps an idempotent ledger and takes an atomic claim before each publish, so re-runs and overlapping workers skip anything already published. Publishing is safe to retry if something fails mid-upload.

Who can see my SoundCloud password or app secret?

You never give Rollout your SoundCloud login password. You paste your own app’s Client ID and Client Secret (BYOC). The secret is stored encrypted at rest, is not shown back to you after save, and is not shared with other users. You can disconnect anytime from the console.

Ready to release without the busywork?
