Add cover art to your SoundCloud release

Every SoundCloud release gets artwork. You can bring your own, or let Rollout handle it. Good cover art is the first thing listeners see, so it's worth adding your own.

Use your own artwork

1. Click your song in the queue to open its details.
2. Drag an image onto the square cover box on the left — or click the box to choose a picture from your computer.
3. That's it — it saves right away. To change it later, just drop a new image on the same box (before or after publishing).

What makes a good cover

• Square — SoundCloud shows covers as a square, so square art won't get cropped.
• Big enough — aim for at least 800×800 pixels (larger is fine) so it stays sharp; SoundCloud recommends around 1000×1000 or more.
• PNG or JPG. The cover box is only for images — audio goes in through the “+ Add track” button up top.

No artwork? No problem

If you don't add a cover, Rollout automatically generates a clean placeholder so your track is never blocked for missing art. You can always swap in your own later — nothing is locked once a track is published.
