Connect your SoundCloud account to Rollout (step by step)
The full one-time setup: subscribe to Artist Pro, register a SoundCloud app, paste your Client ID and Secret, and authorize. About 5 minutes.
Connecting is a one-time setup. After it, publishing is a couple of clicks (or fully scheduled). Rollout publishes to your own SoundCloud account using your own app credentials — we never use a shared account, and we never see your SoundCloud password.
Before you start
- You need a SoundCloud Artist Pro subscription — SoundCloud only lets Pro subscribers register an API application. See Do you need SoundCloud Pro?
- Do this on a desktop browser (Chrome or Edge work most reliably).
Steps
- In Rollout, open the Set up SoundCloud connection window. Keep it open — it shows the exact Redirect URI you'll need.
- In a new tab, go to soundcloud.com/you/apps/new and Register a new application (App name + a short description; website is optional).
- Set the app's Redirect URI to the exact value Rollout shows — copy/paste it so it matches character-for-character.
- SoundCloud issues your Client ID and Client Secret immediately (no review queue). Copy both. See where to find them.
- Paste the Client ID and Client Secret into Rollout and save. Your secret is stored encrypted.
- Click Authorize. SoundCloud's "Connect with SoundCloud" screen opens — approve it. You'll return to Rollout showing Connected.
How to tell it worked
The connection pill turns green / says Connected. If it still says "Not connected yet" or waiting for authorization after saving, you've saved credentials but not finished the Authorize step — see this fix.
