How to connect Instagram to Rollout

Simple steps: use a professional Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page, then connect in Rollout. Personal Instagram profiles cannot auto-post.

Rollout can post your release cover picture and caption to Instagram for you. Instagram only allows this for professional accounts (Business or Creator), not a pure personal profile.

What you need

Part A — Make sure Instagram is set up for posting (do this first)

  1. Open the Instagram app on your phone and go to your profile.
  2. Open the menu → Settings and activityAccount type and tools (wording can vary).
  3. If you are still a personal account, choose Switch to professional account and pick Creator or Business.
  4. Link Instagram to a Facebook Page:
    • In Instagram settings, look for options to connect to Facebook / Accounts Center, or
    • On facebook.com, open your Page → settings / linked accounts and connect Instagram.
  5. Finish any prompts until Instagram shows it is connected to your Page.

If you skip this, Rollout will connect Facebook but cannot publish to Instagram.

Part B — Connect in Rollout

  1. In Rollout open Social → ⚙ Connections.
  2. Tap Instagram (and Facebook too if you also want Page posts).
  3. Click Connect with Instagram (or Connect with Facebook — same Meta login).
  4. Log in and approve the permissions Meta shows (Page + Instagram).
  5. When you return, you should see a connected label with your Instagram name or handle.
  6. Pick a track that has cover art → Send test post → check Instagram.
